I write this review as a contractor and a homeowner. Contractors are often skeptical of service technicians coming to their home. We can be demanding, critical, and cheap. We typically "think" we know more than the technician and supervise them closely to be sure they do everything right, and that we get what we are paying for. I am not different. When Rodney and Lee arrived at my house, I integrated them to determine their knowledge and how they would manage themselves. (Borderline harassment.) It is without reservation that I highly recommended Hot 2 Cold as a Mechanical Contractor. Their technicians are well-versed, courteous, professional, and skilled. Rodney and Lee took their time servicing my two AC Units and I was pleasantly surprised they did not just open, spray, test, and leave. They opened both the interior air handler unit and outside compartments for inspections. They thoroughly disinfected the inside AHU coils, flushed the drain lines, and tested. They thoroughly cleaned the coils, tested, replaced a capacitor, and charged the system. The time that Hot 2 Cold took to service one of my systems is twice the time that other Contractors take to service both my systems. They were not slow or joking around. Quite the contrary – they gave me my money’s worth, and the entire time I was harassing them (partly because I was bored, but mostly testing them to see how well they were trained) they worked as they spoke to me in a kind, compassionate, and in a deescalating manner. I was proud of them. I enjoyed harassing Rodney and Lee. I wish all my service technicians worked as hard and represented my company, as well as these two young technicians represented Hot 2 Cold. There is hope for our future! Thank you, Wayne Giese, and congratulations on building a company based on ethics and expertise.

I woke up this morning stepping into a small puddle of water in my hallway directly in front of my air handler. I immediately looked up at my ceiling and saw no signs of leaks. After mopping up the puddle, I checked every where I knew to check and did not find the source of the leak. After a little while, I decided it had to be the a/c that was leaking because a small amount of water appeared in front of the air handler where I'd just mopped earlier. I googled AC repair companies and decided to go with Hot 2 Cold because of their stellar customer service ratings. I spoke to a very nice young lady, I think her name is Jeanette. I explained to her my problem and she arranged service between 4:00 and 6:00 pm today. I was happy to get same day service and asked if they could come sooner if possible. She said she'd text me if someone became available sooner (and she did). I was outside trying to drain the water from the line with my shop vac (with absolutely no success, nothing was coming out) when Wayne Giese drove up. I was happily surprised that he was an hour early, as I hadn't read my text message yet from Hot 2 Cold that Wayne was on his way. Wayne quickly diagnosed the problem and began working to clear out the drain line. He explained what he had to do to clear the line and was very transparent and upfront about the cost. The line was pretty backed up and it took more than the usual chemicals and effort to clear it. But what I liked most about Wayne is that he treated my AC unit like it was his own. He would often reference what he does for his own unit and that of his other customers. He didn't like the way the kill switch was positioned on the handler and he changed it out for me Free of Charge! Now, anyone willing to do that will definitely have my repeat business! He not only replaced the part free of charge, he had to go and get it from the shop! He also stayed several extra minutes to make sure the unit restarted after replacing the kill switch. I am so happy and thankful for Wayne coming to my rescue. He was truly a Godsend! Thank you Hot 2 Cold!

Make no mistake finding a reputable contractor who has quality work and fair pricing Is extremely hard to find in this climate. When both my AC units went down I was in the verge of a panic attack because I have been burned my many contractors before. I frantically searched all over Yelp to help me not have to go to the ER and came across Hot 2 Cold. After I inquired through Yelp James contacted me and walked me through the process. James was very detail oriented and explained all the steps we were going to have to take. He answered all of my questions and eased my worrisome soul. We went over various options and I felt comfortable choosing them for the job. We were able to schedule the job very quickly. At 8am I had the team of David Dacal, Anthony Comer, Corey Burdetto, Savier Paulinho, and Gavin Carter. All this men were very professional and polite. They did an excellent job cleaning everything up and they were all very respectful of my house. I have a very tight AC unit upstairs that was giving us trouble. However no one complained and they were all determined to get the job done. I love my new AC unit and it works much better than before. This team turned a very stressful experience into a breeze! Only problem is I went to do the internal service survey and the link I had was expired. I hope this team can get credit for the amazing job they did! I will recommend this company to all of my friends family, and fellow Yelpies!

2019 Repair: my A/C stopped running. At that time, James came out and assessed the situation. He was very PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGABLE, and gave us all the options including quick fix or entire replacement of the HVAC. NO PRESSURE from him one way or the other. We chose the quick fix and he said likely it would only last us 1 more year. Fast-forward 2 years and it's still running. 2021 Reaching out: Figured it was a good time to replace the whole unit and so we went for it. Called H2C and they had our profile saved and pictures of our inside/outside unit in their file from the prior repair so they were able to give us a quote over the phone. James again reached out in a timely fashion and answered all my HVAC questions with awesome detail regarding brands, SEER ratings, etc. 2021 Day of installation: Joel, Anthony, and Corey were the technicians. PUNCTUAL, PROFESSIONAL, PERSONABLE, and DETAILED. They wore masks while inside my house, answered all my annoying questions during the installation, made sure I understood everything they did, and cleaned up the mess including sweeping and vacuuming. On top of that, they even fixed a problem I didn't know I had with my air vent at no extra charge. Will only use them here in Tampa. Amazing and honest experience from start to finish.

Great Experience! Wayne was quick to come out to assess our air conditioner issues. He got the a/c back up and working, even coming back out after it continued to not work effectively. We knew we needed a new unit since the current one was old, so we decided to go with Hot 2 Cold due to their consistent efforts to repair the old unit. Wayne came out with the technicians to ensure the job was started right and being executed properly. We now have had the unit for a week and we're sitting in the cool, not worried about the a/c breaking on us! The unit is top notch and runs nicely! The price was good, installation professional (and looks good- very neat) with great follow-up by Wayne to ensure it was installed and finished wonderfully. I will definitely be referring others to them & to ensure this unit lasts longer than the other ... I will only use this company for yearly a/c check ups!!

Verified David Martinez came to check on the aircon unit because it wasn't cooling down to the preset temp. He had identified a number of possible issues - clogging of drain line, leaking and insufficient refrigerant. The estimates of all these will amount to a big sum. After some explanations on the issues, I've decided to spread out the fixings so as to spread out the spending. David was on time, patient and willing to explain the procedures. James came out at 8 pm the night we called and evaluated our problem. He put together options for us and was honest about what direction he thought we should take. James had a team out that Saturday who replaced our outdoor and indoor units. They were courteous, clean, and polite, and got the job done quickly with no damage whatsoever. I woke up this morning stepping into a small puddle of water in my hallway directly in front of my air handler.  I immediately looked up at my ceiling and saw no signs of leaks.  After mopping up the puddle, I checked every where I knew to check and did not find the source of the leak.  After a little while, I decided it had to be the a/c that was leaking because a small amount of water appeared in front of the air handler where I'd just mopped earlier.  I googled AC repair companies and decided to go with Hot 2 Cold because of their stellar customer service ratings.  I spoke to a very nice young lady, I think her name is Jeanette.  I explained to her my problem and she arranged service between 4:00 and 6:00 pm today.  I was happy to get same day service and asked if they could come sooner if possible.  She said she'd text me if someone became available sooner (and she did).  I was outside trying to drain the water from the line with my shop vac (with absolutely no success, nothing was coming out) when Wayne Giese drove up.   I was happily surprised that he was an hour early, as I hadn't read my text message yet from Hot 2 Cold that Wayne was on his way.  Wayne quickly diagnosed the problem and began working to clear out the drain line.  He explained what he had to do to clear the line and was very transparent and upfront about the cost. The line was pretty backed up and it took more than the usual chemicals and effort to clear it.  But what I liked most about Wayne is that he treated my AC unit like it was his own.  He would often reference what he does for his own unit and that of his other customers.  He didn't like the way the kill switch was positioned on the handler and he changed it out for me Free of Charge!  Now, anyone willing to do that will definitely have my repeat  business! He not only replaced the part free of charge, he had to go and get it from the shop!  He also stayed several extra minutes to make sure the unit restarted after replacing the kill switch.  I am so happy and thankful for Wayne coming to my rescue.  He was truly a Godsend!  Thank you Hot 2 Cold!

Great Experience! Wayne was quick to come out to assess our air conditioner issues. He got the a/c back up and working, even coming back out after it continued to not work effectively. We knew we needed a new unit since the current one was old, so we decided to go with Hot 2 Cold due to their consistent efforts to repair the old unit. Wayne came out with the technicians to ensure the job was started right and being executed properly. We now have had the unit for a week and we're sitting in the cool, not worried about the a/c breaking on us! The unit is top notch and runs nicely! The price was good, installation professional (and looks good- very neat) with great follow-up by Wayne to ensure it was installed and finished wonderfully. 2019 Repair: my A/C stopped running. At that time, James came out and assessed the situation. He was very PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGABLE,  and gave us all the options including quick fix or entire replacement of the HVAC. NO PRESSURE from him one way or the other. We chose the quick fix and he said likely it would only last us 1 more year. Fast-forward 2 years and it's still running. 2021 Reaching out: Figured it was a good time to replace the whole unit and so we went for it. Called H2C and they had our profile saved and pictures of our inside/outside unit in their file from the prior repair so they were able to give us a quote over the phone. James again reached out in a timely fashion and answered all my HVAC questions with awesome detail regarding brands, SEER ratings, etc. 2021 Day of installation: Joel, Anthony, and Corey were the technicians. PUNCTUAL, PROFESSIONAL, PERSONABLE, and DETAILED. They wore masks while inside my house, answered all my annoying questions during the installation, made sure I understood everything they did, and cleaned up the mess including sweeping and vacuuming. On top of that, they even fixed a problem I didn't know I had with my air vent at no extra charge. Will only use them here in Tampa. Amazing and honest experience from start to finish.

When our AC decided to quit in the middle of summer, Troy from Hot to Cold AC swooped in like a superhero with a toolbox. He came out the very next day and had us chilling in comfort before we could even finish melting. I write this review as a contractor and a homeowner. Contractors are often skeptical of service technicians coming to their home. We can be demanding, critical, and cheap. We typically "think" we know more than the technician and supervise them closely to be sure they do everything right, and that we get what we are paying for. I am not different. When Rodney and Lee arrived at my house, I integrated them to determine their knowledge and how they would manage themselves. (Borderline harassment.) It is without reservation that I highly recommended Hot 2 Cold as a Mechanical Contractor. Their technicians are well-versed, courteous, professional, and skilled. Rodney and Lee took their time servicing my two AC Units and I was pleasantly surprised they did not just open, spray, test, and leave. They opened both the interior air handler unit and outside compartments for inspections. They thoroughly disinfected the inside AHU coils, flushed the drain lines, and tested. They thoroughly cleaned the coils, tested, replaced a capacitor, and charged the system. The time that Hot 2 Cold took to service one of my systems is twice the time that other Contractors take to service both my systems. They were not slow or joking around. Quite the contrary – they gave me my money’s worth, and the entire time I was harassing them (partly because I was bored, but mostly testing them to see how well they were trained) they worked as they spoke to me in a kind, compassionate, and in a deescalating manner.  I was proud of them. I enjoyed harassing Rodney and Lee. I wish all my service technicians worked as hard and represented my company, as well as these two young technicians represented Hot 2 Cold. There is hope for our future! Thank you, Wayne Giese, and congratulations on building a company based on ethics and expertise.

Wayne was amazing. Even though he could not fix my issue (not due to him but the previous company that messed up when installing my new unit) he really took his time to try to figure out my problem. He was able to make something work as I try to contact the other company to fix their wrong doing. Very through and knowledgeable. I really appreciated him taking his time to explain everything. I will definitely use them in the future after I get the other company to fix their mistake.

Make no mistake finding a reputable contractor who has quality work and fair pricing Is extremely hard to find in this climate. When both my AC units went down I was in the verge of a panic attack because I have been burned my many contractors before. I frantically searched all over Yelp to help me not have to go to the ER and came across Hot 2 Cold. After I inquired through Yelp James contacted me and walked me through the process. James was very detail oriented and explained all the steps we were going to have to take. He answered all of my questions and eased my worrisome soul. We went over various options and I felt comfortable choosing them for the job. We were able to schedule the job very quickly. At 8am I had the team of David Dacal, Anthony Comer, Corey Burdetto, Savier Paulinho, and Gavin Carter. All this men were very professional and polite. They did an excellent job cleaning everything up and they were all very respectful of my house. I have a very tight AC unit upstairs that was giving us trouble. However no one complained and they were all determined to get the job done. I love my new AC unit and it works much better than before. This team turned a very stressful experience into a breeze! Only problem is I went to do the internal service survey and the link I had was expired. I hope this team can get credit for the amazing job they did! I will recommend this company to all of my friends family, and fellow Yelpies!

 Verified Great Company!!  Very Reasonable $ !! We have had 3 issues with our AC system in the last 2 years and each time Hot 2 Cold has taken care of us without any problems.  Their technicians are friendly, prompt and knowledgeable and they take the time to explain all the issues and the costs.  This time James came out, diagnosed the problem, had the proper part in his truck, replaced it and had the system running again within an hour. Scheduling with them is a great too!  Because my wife & I both work it is sometimes difficult to have someone home when the tech is scheduled to arrive , but their "heads up" text to my cell phone allowed us to inform the tech that my wife was running late from work, but was on the way....it was "No Problem".

 Verified I had an issue with me air conditioner that suddenly went out after a home inspector came to my house.  I was previously told that the issue was a result of one thing which cane with a hefty price tag. I called Hot 2 Cold and technician Warren came in less than 3 hrs. He immediately diagnosed the problem which was a quick and low cost service. Warren was informative and professional. I see why Hot 2 Cold is #1 in customer service within Tampa.

 Verified Warren did a fantastic job fixing our AC. Our system went down on a Friday evening and there was no way I could go until Monday without AC. Warren was on time, professional, courteous, thorough, non smoker, and I will definitely request to have him back if something were to go wrong again.  Verified A/C wasn't spitting out cold air. Called Amd John was here within an hour. We did our HW, checked all the breakers, thought we were out of options. Turns out there is a third breaker by the unit outside. Charged us a trip charge and he was on his way. Fair and honest. Can't complain.

 Verified Had them out to service my heat pump/air handler...their tech James gave us the best AC Inspection I've seen from any company in years. He spotted specific settings and issues that were completely overlooked by two other (well respected) AC companies and I can tell you months later...our AC hasn't run this well since installed 10 years ago. Moreover...he gave me several options/estimates to repair/upgrade the entire duct system as well. I highly recommend this company

 Verified This is an update to my previous 5 star review. We had the mother board go bad in our compressor that Hot 2 Cold had installed just after the labor warranty ran out (the parts warranty was still in effect). We called Wayne and he sent out a tech the same day, even tho they were swamped with business. They diagnosed the problem, made adjustments to the unit so we could cool the house until the parts arrived, got the part delivered in a day, and came back to our house at 11:30AM the next day, even tho they said they would be out between noon and 2pm - ya, they got to our house even earlier than promised! How often does that happen? The unit was fixed and they were in their rights to charge us a labor fee, but without us even requesting it, they waived the fee for labor. We paid nothing. This company is amazing and truly stands behind their work and their commitment to their customers. I highly recommend Hot 2 Cold. They do great work and now I've seen first hand that they go the extra mile to keep customers for life.

 Verified We were having a party at our house in the evening and at around 12 noon the air conditioning started to get hot. We looked up on Google and found hot to cold and called them.  Wayne came out within an hour fixed everything and saved us from a disaster at our party. He was amazing and we even had to use him again for another air conditioning problem. During both instances, Wayne was prompt, personal, friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. We won't use any other company other than hot to cold for our AC. They are great! You will not be disappointed!

I had a reoccurring problem where the heat would stop working just out of the blue (mainly at night, ugh).  Had the unit serviced 12/12/17 by someone else and the problem was supposedly fixed ($135).  Well, Monday night (1/1/18) the heat stopped working around 11 pm; called my a/c guy, he said he would be there Tuesday --Never showed up.  I called Hot 2 Cold Wednesday around 8:10 am, Wayne said someone would be at my house between 11 am and 1 pm.  James arrived at 10:45 am and in less than 30 minutes determined my contractor had installed the thermostat incorrectly.  James was very professional, clean and knowledgeable.  He not only fixed the problem, but he program my thermostat and installed the app on my phone.  I was extremely happy with the services I received and I also signed up for their yearly maintenance program.

 Verified Got a service call from this company. This was the best service I have gotten from any business in the last few years. The service guy Heath had great customer service. This may be a small company but they are doing it very big. This is what you expect from any business. He was quick fast prompt to the service call and got the job done.  Verified After having a few issues w/ another company I had used for a few years - I decided it was time to find someone else to work on my AC unit. I asked around and I received Wayne's # from a friend who had used him a few times and loved him. I gave Wayne a call at 2p, he asked if we were around that night because he had a job in the area but could stop by after, his tec was at my house by 8:30p that night!  Just like the other reviews so professional courteous and the price was 1/2 of what the other company wanted to charge. I would recommend Hot 2 Cold  to anyone w/ AC issues.

They needed to take the fan and motor to the shop and said they would be back in the morning.  Verified I had to take my hat off to these technicians; Shawn (forgot his last name)Michael Nicolaus and his supervisor Hector Ortiz from Hot2Cold company. They exceeded beyond and above to an A/C problem that I had in my house. I had a coil leak and my service requested was answered extremely fast. I placed my request at 11:58pm for next day for 10am; received an email confirmation with the time requested. They showed up on time and prior that I received a text message with the ETA time on my cell phone. After arrival; They found my coil problem in less than 15 minutes they even located the part need it in other city and gave me a same day appointment to complete and repair my A/C problem later that day. I highly recommend this company, very professional, explaining everything in details and you can see an excellent team work.  They offer military discount also. Thanks to Shawn, Michael Nicolaus and Hector Ortiz, they all came forward. If I have any future problems with my A/C unit definitely these is the company and the names that I will be requesting.

 Verified I would definitely recommend Hot 2 Cold.  Our air conditioner was making funny noises and didn't seem to be working.  I called a little after 7am and reached the owner.  He was great, and sent outJason.  He was here within a couple of hours.  They let me know it was the blower motor and quoted me a price.  After Jason came back with the motor he realized he needed another part.  I was really impressed because there was no additional cost!  They stood by their quote!! How often does that happen!  I will definitely use them again if I have any air conditioning problems in the future!!

We can be demanding, critical, and cheap. We typically "think" we know more than the technician and supervise them closely to be sure they do everything right, and that we get what we are paying for.I am not different. When ****** and *** arrived at my house, I integrated them to determine their knowledge and how they would manage themselves. (Borderline harassment.) It is without reservation that I highly recommended Hot 2 Cold as a Mechanical Contractor. Their technicians are well-versed, courteous, professional, and skilled. ****** and *** took their time servicing my two AC Units and I was pleasantly surprised they did not just open, spray, test, and leave. They opened both the interior air handler unit and outside compartments for inspections. They thoroughly disinfected the inside AHU coils, flushed the drain lines, and tested. They thoroughly cleaned the coils, tested, replaced a capacitor, and charged the system. The time that Hot 2 Cold took to service one of my systems is twice the time that other Contractors take to service both my systems. They were not slow or joking around. Quite the contrary they gave me my moneys worth, and the entire time I was harassing them (partly because I was bored, but mostly testing them to see how well they were trained) they worked as they spoke to me in a kind, compassionate, and in a deescalating manner. I was proud of them.I enjoyed harassing ****** and ***. I wish all my service technicians worked as hard and represented my company, as well as these two young technicians represented Hot 2 Cold.  Verified Better than One Hour Air Conditioning for sure! Called at 152pm on Saturday (Memorial Day weekend) with 4 kids and 2 dogs in house and house temp got up to 88 degrees! They arrived at 748pm. Technician was pleasant and quick! Got it back working in less than an hour. They are my new AC folks! Not 5 stars cause they told me 4pm, then 6pm, and I had to call to get status, nobody called me to inform me. Other than that I had no complaints.

 Verified We were without AC for almost a week due to a blown compressor that was supposed to be fixed through our home warranty. After 2 days of waiting for service it was determined we'd need a whole new system instead of spending a few grand fixing a 14yr old unit. We called Hot 2 Cold the next day (instead of using the contractor from the warranty company) and had a quote by EOB that same day. The next day we scheduled the install for the following day (Friday 08/24/18). On the day of the install, after nearly 12 hours of working in FL heat, the install was complete! The 2 man crew worked through the heat and a couple storms to get the job done right and 2 hours later, our 93° house was a comfortable 75°!

I didn't have an AC issue it was due to too many electronics my son now has in his room due to quarantine.   The second time my AC stopped cooling the entire house. A technician was scheduled within 2 hours of calling. Again they were thorough and honest. We had a motor that needed to be replaced. From start to finish took under 2 hours and technician even had to leave and get a part. Fast, friendly, honest, efficient service!

He had identified a number of possible issues - clogging of drain line, leaking and insufficient refrigerant. The estimates of all these will amount to a big sum. After some explanations on the issues, I've decided to spread out the fixings so as to spread out the spending. David was on time, patient and willing to explain the procedures. The part we needed cost less and our fee for the visit was only $1 and was applied to the part purchased.

 Verified My first interaction with this company was rocky. I wrote a review about my distasteful experience and was contacted by Janette within 5 minutes of posting. I have never been helped and had my issues solved with a company so fast in my life. Janette was kind and very professional. I found that the issues I had were with the call center they use and not the company itself. Within a few minutes, we had a schedule for the same day (about 4 hours later). She even gave me her personal extension in case I ran into any other problems. James was our technician, and he was a well-seasoned professional. We even had great conversations and you could tell that he was passionate about his job and actually cared. This call was being used as a second opinion because the first company was trying to sell me a whole new system for $12,000 without giving me a definitive answer about what was wrong. James took time to go over my entire system thoroughly, checked every vent, explained everything to me in clear language, and helped find a "band-aid" that could possibly last a couple of years. James answered all of my questions and briefly educated me on the HVAC system. He even followed up a couple of hours after he left to make sure the new fix was holding. With our financial situation the way it is right now, this was the best-case scenario. I will be using this company for all future A/C repairs and highly recommend them. At the time their service was excellent and their price was the best I’d been quoted. This week the compressor kept tripping the breaker. I texted the owner at 7pm on Saturday and asked him to put us on his schedule for service. I assumed it would be later in the week since it was the Memorial Day weekend. I got a return text quickly and was told a tech would be at the house the next day - Sunday. At 10am the tech showed up and had the problem fixed within the hour. I’m very happy with Hot to Cold. At least 4 occasions they've repaired leaks in my unit. I'm tired of the old unit in constant need of repair. Freon was replaced this visit.
