I write this review as a contractor and a homeowner. Contractors are often skeptical of service technicians coming to their home. We can be demanding, critical, and cheap. We typically "think" we know more than the technician and supervise them closely to be sure they do everything right, and that we get what we are paying for. I am not different. When Rodney and Lee arrived at my house, I integrated them to determine their knowledge and how they would manage themselves. (Borderline harassment.) It is without reservation that I highly recommended Hot 2 Cold as a Mechanical Contractor. Their technicians are well-versed, courteous, professional, and skilled. Rodney and Lee took their time servicing my two AC Units and I was pleasantly surprised they did not just open, spray, test, and leave. They opened both the interior air handler unit and outside compartments for inspections. They thoroughly disinfected the inside AHU coils, flushed the drain lines, and tested. They thoroughly cleaned the coils, tested, replaced a capacitor, and charged the system. The time that Hot 2 Cold took to service one of my systems is twice the time that other Contractors take to service both my systems. They were not slow or joking around. Quite the contrary – they gave me my money’s worth, and the entire time I was harassing them (partly because I was bored, but mostly testing them to see how well they were trained) they worked as they spoke to me in a kind, compassionate, and in a deescalating manner. I was proud of them. I enjoyed harassing Rodney and Lee. I wish all my service technicians worked as hard and represented my company, as well as these two young technicians represented Hot 2 Cold. There is hope for our future! Thank you, Wayne Giese, and congratulations on building a company based on ethics and expertise.

I woke up this morning stepping into a small puddle of water in my hallway directly in front of my air handler. I immediately looked up at my ceiling and saw no signs of leaks. After mopping up the puddle, I checked every where I knew to check and did not find the source of the leak. After a little while, I decided it had to be the a/c that was leaking because a small amount of water appeared in front of the air handler where I'd just mopped earlier. I googled AC repair companies and decided to go with Hot 2 Cold because of their stellar customer service ratings. I spoke to a very nice young lady, I think her name is Jeanette. I explained to her my problem and she arranged service between 4:00 and 6:00 pm today. I was happy to get same day service and asked if they could come sooner if possible. She said she'd text me if someone became available sooner (and she did). I was outside trying to drain the water from the line with my shop vac (with absolutely no success, nothing was coming out) when Wayne Giese drove up. I was happily surprised that he was an hour early, as I hadn't read my text message yet from Hot 2 Cold that Wayne was on his way. Wayne quickly diagnosed the problem and began working to clear out the drain line. He explained what he had to do to clear the line and was very transparent and upfront about the cost. The line was pretty backed up and it took more than the usual chemicals and effort to clear it. But what I liked most about Wayne is that he treated my AC unit like it was his own. He would often reference what he does for his own unit and that of his other customers. He didn't like the way the kill switch was positioned on the handler and he changed it out for me Free of Charge! Now, anyone willing to do that will definitely have my repeat business! He not only replaced the part free of charge, he had to go and get it from the shop! He also stayed several extra minutes to make sure the unit restarted after replacing the kill switch. I am so happy and thankful for Wayne coming to my rescue. He was truly a Godsend! Thank you Hot 2 Cold!

Make no mistake finding a reputable contractor who has quality work and fair pricing Is extremely hard to find in this climate. When both my AC units went down I was in the verge of a panic attack because I have been burned my many contractors before. I frantically searched all over Yelp to help me not have to go to the ER and came across Hot 2 Cold. After I inquired through Yelp James contacted me and walked me through the process. James was very detail oriented and explained all the steps we were going to have to take. He answered all of my questions and eased my worrisome soul. We went over various options and I felt comfortable choosing them for the job. We were able to schedule the job very quickly. At 8am I had the team of David Dacal, Anthony Comer, Corey Burdetto, Savier Paulinho, and Gavin Carter. All this men were very professional and polite. They did an excellent job cleaning everything up and they were all very respectful of my house. I have a very tight AC unit upstairs that was giving us trouble. However no one complained and they were all determined to get the job done. I love my new AC unit and it works much better than before. This team turned a very stressful experience into a breeze! Only problem is I went to do the internal service survey and the link I had was expired. I hope this team can get credit for the amazing job they did! I will recommend this company to all of my friends family, and fellow Yelpies!

2019 Repair: my A/C stopped running. At that time, James came out and assessed the situation. He was very PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGABLE, and gave us all the options including quick fix or entire replacement of the HVAC. NO PRESSURE from him one way or the other. We chose the quick fix and he said likely it would only last us 1 more year. Fast-forward 2 years and it's still running. 2021 Reaching out: Figured it was a good time to replace the whole unit and so we went for it. Called H2C and they had our profile saved and pictures of our inside/outside unit in their file from the prior repair so they were able to give us a quote over the phone. James again reached out in a timely fashion and answered all my HVAC questions with awesome detail regarding brands, SEER ratings, etc. 2021 Day of installation: Joel, Anthony, and Corey were the technicians. PUNCTUAL, PROFESSIONAL, PERSONABLE, and DETAILED. They wore masks while inside my house, answered all my annoying questions during the installation, made sure I understood everything they did, and cleaned up the mess including sweeping and vacuuming. On top of that, they even fixed a problem I didn't know I had with my air vent at no extra charge. Will only use them here in Tampa. Amazing and honest experience from start to finish.

Great Experience! Wayne was quick to come out to assess our air conditioner issues. He got the a/c back up and working, even coming back out after it continued to not work effectively. We knew we needed a new unit since the current one was old, so we decided to go with Hot 2 Cold due to their consistent efforts to repair the old unit. Wayne came out with the technicians to ensure the job was started right and being executed properly. We now have had the unit for a week and we're sitting in the cool, not worried about the a/c breaking on us! The unit is top notch and runs nicely! The price was good, installation professional (and looks good- very neat) with great follow-up by Wayne to ensure it was installed and finished wonderfully. I will definitely be referring others to them & to ensure this unit lasts longer than the other ... I will only use this company for yearly a/c check ups!!

He had identified a number of possible issues - clogging of drain line, leaking and insufficient refrigerant. The estimates of all these will amount to a big sum. They opened both the interior air handler unit and outside compartments for inspections. They thoroughly disinfected the inside AHU coils, flushed the drain lines, and tested. They thoroughly cleaned the coils, tested, replaced a capacitor, and charged the system. The time that Hot 2 Cold took to service one of my systems is twice the time that other Contractors take to service both my systems. They were not slow or joking around. Quite the contrary they gave me my moneys worth, and the entire time I was harassing them (partly because I was bored, but mostly testing them to see how well they were trained) they worked as they spoke to me in a kind, compassionate, and in a deescalating manner. Great Experience! Wayne was quick to come out to assess our air conditioner issues. He got the a/c back up and working, even coming back out after it continued to not work effectively. We knew we needed a new unit since the current one was old, so we decided to go with Hot 2 Cold due to their consistent efforts to repair the old unit. Wayne came out with the technicians to ensure the job was started right and being executed properly. We now have had the unit for a week and we're sitting in the cool, not worried about the a/c breaking on us! The unit is top notch and runs nicely! The price was good, installation professional (and looks good- very neat) with great follow-up by Wayne to ensure it was installed and finished wonderfully. I will definitely be referring others to them & to ensure this unit lasts longer than the other ... I will only use this company for yearly a/c check ups!!

2019 Repair: my A/C stopped running. At that time, James came out and assessed the situation. He was very PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGABLE,  and gave us all the options including quick fix or entire replacement of the HVAC. NO PRESSURE from him one way or the other. We chose the quick fix and he said likely it would only last us 1 more year. Fast-forward 2 years and it's still running. 2021 Reaching out: Figured it was a good time to replace the whole unit and so we went for it. Called H2C and they had our profile saved and pictures of our inside/outside unit in their file from the prior repair so they were able to give us a quote over the phone. James again reached out in a timely fashion and answered all my HVAC questions with awesome detail regarding brands, SEER ratings, etc. 2021 Day of installation: Joel, Anthony, and Corey were the technicians. PUNCTUAL, PROFESSIONAL, PERSONABLE, and DETAILED. They wore masks while inside my house, answered all my annoying questions during the installation, made sure I understood everything they did, and cleaned up the mess including sweeping and vacuuming. On top of that, they even fixed a problem I didn't know I had with my air vent at no extra charge. Will only use them here in Tampa. Amazing and honest experience from start to finish.

I woke up this morning stepping into a small puddle of water in my hallway directly in front of my air handler.  I immediately looked up at my ceiling and saw no signs of leaks.  After mopping up the puddle, I checked every where I knew to check and did not find the source of the leak.  After a little while, I decided it had to be the a/c that was leaking because a small amount of water appeared in front of the air handler where I'd just mopped earlier.  I googled AC repair companies and decided to go with Hot 2 Cold because of their stellar customer service ratings.  I spoke to a very nice young lady, I think her name is Jeanette.  I explained to her my problem and she arranged service between 4:00 and 6:00 pm today.  I was happy to get same day service and asked if they could come sooner if possible.  She said she'd text me if someone became available sooner (and she did).  I was outside trying to drain the water from the line with my shop vac (with absolutely no success, nothing was coming out) when Wayne Giese drove up.   I was happily surprised that he was an hour early, as I hadn't read my text message yet from Hot 2 Cold that Wayne was on his way.  Wayne quickly diagnosed the problem and began working to clear out the drain line.  He explained what he had to do to clear the line and was very transparent and upfront about the cost. The line was pretty backed up and it took more than the usual chemicals and effort to clear it.  But what I liked most about Wayne is that he treated my AC unit like it was his own.  He would often reference what he does for his own unit and that of his other customers.  He didn't like the way the kill switch was positioned on the handler and he changed it out for me Free of Charge!  Now, anyone willing to do that will definitely have my repeat  business! He not only replaced the part free of charge, he had to go and get it from the shop!  He also stayed several extra minutes to make sure the unit restarted after replacing the kill switch.  I am so happy and thankful for Wayne coming to my rescue.  He was truly a Godsend!  Thank you Hot 2 Cold!

I write this review as a contractor and a homeowner. Contractors are often skeptical of service technicians coming to their home. We can be demanding, critical, and cheap. We typically "think" we know more than the technician and supervise them closely to be sure they do everything right, and that we get what we are paying for. I am not different. When Rodney and Lee arrived at my house, I integrated them to determine their knowledge and how they would manage themselves. (Borderline harassment.) It is without reservation that I highly recommended Hot 2 Cold as a Mechanical Contractor. Their technicians are well-versed, courteous, professional, and skilled. Rodney and Lee took their time servicing my two AC Units and I was pleasantly surprised they did not just open, spray, test, and leave. They opened both the interior air handler unit and outside compartments for inspections. They thoroughly disinfected the inside AHU coils, flushed the drain lines, and tested. They thoroughly cleaned the coils, tested, replaced a capacitor, and charged the system. The time that Hot 2 Cold took to service one of my systems is twice the time that other Contractors take to service both my systems. They were not slow or joking around. Quite the contrary – they gave me my money’s worth, and the entire time I was harassing them (partly because I was bored, but mostly testing them to see how well they were trained) they worked as they spoke to me in a kind, compassionate, and in a deescalating manner.  I was proud of them. I enjoyed harassing Rodney and Lee. I wish all my service technicians worked as hard and represented my company, as well as these two young technicians represented Hot 2 Cold. There is hope for our future! Thank you, Wayne Giese, and congratulations on building a company based on ethics and expertise.

Make no mistake finding a reputable contractor who has quality work and fair pricing Is extremely hard to find in this climate. When both my AC units went down I was in the verge of a panic attack because I have been burned my many contractors before. I frantically searched all over Yelp to help me not have to go to the ER and came across Hot 2 Cold. After I inquired through Yelp James contacted me and walked me through the process. James was very detail oriented and explained all the steps we were going to have to take. He answered all of my questions and eased my worrisome soul. We went over various options and I felt comfortable choosing them for the job. We were able to schedule the job very quickly. At 8am I had the team of David Dacal, Anthony Comer, Corey Burdetto, Savier Paulinho, and Gavin Carter. All this men were very professional and polite. They did an excellent job cleaning everything up and they were all very respectful of my house. I have a very tight AC unit upstairs that was giving us trouble. However no one complained and they were all determined to get the job done. I love my new AC unit and it works much better than before. This team turned a very stressful experience into a breeze! Only problem is I went to do the internal service survey and the link I had was expired. I hope this team can get credit for the amazing job they did! I will recommend this company to all of my friends family, and fellow Yelpies!

 Verified We called Hot2Cold after a horrible experience with another company. We moved in to our new house and were told that we had to replace our entire unit. I was 37 weeks pregnant at the time and we didn't do our research and allowed that company to replace our unit. Well, a couple of days after the install, we noticed that unit wasn't cooling to lower than 76 degrees during the day. The owner told us it was due to it being so hot outside and that it was impossible to cool a home to lower than 76 during the summer. I've never heard of such a load of crap in my life. The unit literally ran all day and night and they couldn't figure out or explain why it wouldn't cool our home during the day. About a week later, we came to our senses, demanded they remove the unit and give us a full refund, and we called Hot2Cold to bring us a bring new unit. They offered us a better quality, higher ton unit for $3k less. It was installed that same day and has worked perfect ever since. They called me several times to make sure I was happy with the unit and even came to look at it to make sure it was running as efficiently as possible. We will never use another air conditioning company to help us with any problems we have in the future.

 Verified I contacted them via yelp about insulation and they quickly had someone call me to discuss it further. I was able to get an appointment a few days later with James. He was very friendly and polite. He took pictures of everything and was able to show me some areas in the attic I hadn't yet seen that definitely need to be addressed. I will be going with them to have the work done. Will update after :)

He explained everything and even came back at no charge. We have removed all the stickers from the previous AC company and replace them with Hot2Cold. James came out at 8 pm the night we called and evaluated our problem. He put together options for us and was honest about what direction he thought we should take. James had a team out that Saturday who replaced our outdoor and indoor units. They were courteous, clean, and polite, and got the job done quickly with no damage whatsoever. They even came out at 10 pm a few nights later to replace a factory-faulty thermostat.  Verified ..."Hot-2-Cold" should receive the "Best in Tampa" award as I have called them twice over the past 28 months: In Nov 2018, my 98 YO mother had a kitchen fire incident that carried smoke throughout the 2BR condo, causing the AC to stop cooling and the temp rose to 90'. Mom had the Air filter changed and I called Hot-2-Cold;  James arrived the same day and found no damage to the AC or the ducting system. There was no charge for the solution James added to clean the condensing unit run-off line. ...Fast forward to to Feb 2021; Three months after we purchased a nearby 2BR home, our AC failed on a warm, 84' day. Called Hot-2-Cold again and Michael arrived 4 hours after my call. He found the "coolant" was leaking, but suggested we call the company that installed the AC as the warranty was still good from the installing company. NO CHARGE  from Hot-2-Cold, but "Hot-2-Cold" is how you spell HONEST, in capitol letters...

 Verified Have used them twice. First time was due to one of my rooms not cooling. Technician took an hour to evaluate the problem.  He was thorough and honest. I didn't have an AC issue it was due to too many electronics my son now has in his room due to quarantine.   The second time my AC stopped cooling the entire house. A technician was scheduled within 2 hours of calling. Again they were thorough and honest. We had a motor that needed to be replaced. From start to finish took under 2 hours and technician even had to leave and get a part. Fast, friendly, honest, efficient service!

 Verified I had a clogged pipe issue, no water is dripping from the exterior pipe and a clog needed to be cleared, no mystery. Two other companies I rang prior to H2C tried to hustle the situation being vague. H2C was straightforward and direct on the phone unlike the other two companies. James arrived and promptly took care of the issue, he was knowledgeable and forthcoming, provided helpful advice to lingering concerns that I was curious about with my unit.  Verified James came over to review my A/C  system and provide a second opinion based on work done by a previous vendor. He thoroughly went through multiple tests to confirm my A/C was working as expected and didn't need to be replaced at this time. I will definitely be using Hot 2 Cold in the future when it comes time to replace my system based on my experience today with James. Highly recommend.

 Verified Excellent service! I called for service late on a Saturday afternoon when most AC companies don't even answer the phone. They were able to have a technician (Jason) out within a few hours of my call, which was within the time frame they gave me on the phone.    The repair was worse than we thought, but they were able to fix it that night.  I would definitely recommend and use them for future needs.

He determined the problem was actually our nest thermostat which was only a year old. He removed it, connected the wires to have it run without the thermostat, and cold air began running again. We never would have thought that was the problem. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. We will call Hot 2 Cold in the future.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We solicited bids from several companies to replace our aging A/C unit. Brennan came out to provide us with a bid, he was on time, professional and did a thorough assessment of our needs, took time to explain recommended work and provided multiple proposals. In the end, we decided to go with another company, similar unit, just a different brand.  Hot2Cold had a slightly higher price point and the warranty on labor was much less or we would need to purchase an upgrade, whereas the other company had it built in for a lower overall cost. Again, Hot2Cold was quick to respond, courteous and professional. Brennan did an excellent job, we just felt the other company was the best option.

 Verified I had to take my hat off to these technicians; Shawn (forgot his last name)Michael Nicolaus and his supervisor Hector Ortiz from Hot2Cold company. They exceeded beyond and above to an A/C problem that I had in my house. I had a coil leak and my service requested was answered extremely fast. I placed my request at 11:58pm for next day for 10am; received an email confirmation with the time requested. They showed up on time and prior that I received a text message with the ETA time on my cell phone. After arrival; They found my coil problem in less than 15 minutes they even located the part need it in other city and gave me a same day appointment to complete and repair my A/C problem later that day. I highly recommend this company, very professional, explaining everything in details and you can see an excellent team work.  They offer military discount also. Thanks to Shawn, Michael Nicolaus and Hector Ortiz, they all came forward. If I have any future problems with my A/C unit definitely these is the company and the names that I will be requesting.

 Verified After receiving bad service(refusal to give me a time interval for an appt, and other issues) from a local AC company who had my loyal business for 10 years, I located Hot 2 Cold via Yelp reviews. Spoke with Wayne after describing my AC unit issues(not enough coolant) etc. He quickly dispatched one of his employees who was very professional, timely and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem quickly and charged a reasonable price for the service and replacement part. And for once I was not in need of freon which seemed to be the "solution" (an expensive one too!) every time the previous AC contractor came to my home .

It has been nothing but trouble a week after installation. I was told about Hot 2 Cold air and the owner Wayne along with techs James and Warren have been exceedingly helpful. At least 4 occasions they've repaired leaks in my unit. I'm tired of the old unit in constant need of repair. Freon was replaced this visit. Tired of being nickel and dimed to death i asked, under no pressure from Warren, showed me a/c units from the low to high end. I decided to get a unit that fit both my square footage and price range.  Verified I was very impressed with the service provided by Hot 2 Cold. Scheduling an appointment online was easy and convenient and the technician showed up early. Hector was friendly, polite, and very knowledgeable. His written report of the work performed was clear and concise. He provided an estimate for all recommend work immediately following the cleaning maintenance and inspection of the a/c system. Hector was also easy to get a hold of after the appointment to answer additional questions I forgot to ask while he was here. I would definitely recommend this company and use them again. It was a simple draining issue but he did a thorough job and explained the what and the how very clearly.  Verified I'm impressed! I contacted Hot 2 Cold and had a sweet young lady answer the phone, she set me up with a technician in no time at all. I called at about 3:40pm and she said she'll have someone here between 4-6. It felt too good to be true! I then received a phone call from Hector stating his approximate ETA. Hector arrived to service our leaking air conditioning unit and answered every single one of our questions, I had a lot! (All with his mask on, which we appreciated) I never felt rushed one bit. Hector was very professional and informative, he even gave me some tips on how to maintain the unit monthly. I hope that every single employee I deal with moving forward is as courteous and professional as these two individuals. Thank you so much Hot 2 Cold!

 Verified After checking the cost of a replacement HVAC unit we asked for quotes from four different vendors for comparable units installed. All were $4500 to $7,000 above the retail price for the unit. We spotted the excellent reviews in Yelp for Hot2Cold and tried them. Their quote was in line with all the reviewers' estimates of what should be for our requirements in our market. The installation was quick and and clean. The techs arrived precisely on time, and left by mid-afternoon. Most important, there was a glitch and the unit didn't cool properly initially. They returned next day, spotted the problem and corrected it. No complaints, alibis or protests. When the inspector came to check the installation he flagged a problem with an electrical connection and the next morning the tech was back making a 5-minutes correction and was gone. Five months later, the unit is working as expected.

Everything from our initial call to Wayne who was very helpful and generous with his time on the phone and willingness to help along with some suggestions on what to do up to the outstanding service within an hour from Heath.... we cannot say enough good things encouraging others to utilize Hot 2 Cold.  Our a/c has onnly gone down a few times over the years and we've used various companies- all of whom claim to be open 24/7 but not one was available except Hot 2 Cold (especially on a weekend) and we were thrilled with their service. There is no doubt we will be calling on them again and encourage our friends to utilize them for any a/c needs, I think they do  other services too and I wouldn't hesitate to call them.  Verified Hector (the technician) was very professional, knowledgable, and  courteous. I had a million questions and he had zero issues answering all of them. I couldn't be happier. I loved the fact that he wore a mask and presented himself as a true professional. From the moment I called to the end of the repair, I knew that this company prides itself with customer service. The dispatcher was friendly and actually listened to what was going on. The estimated arrival times provided was spot on too. During these trying times where emotions and the level of frustration is high, I constantly ran across service reps who are rude and grouchy. This company, however, gave me a new perspective and hope in our service industry. I would recommend this company to anybody.

 Verified Hot 2 Cold saved me $600 and probably a lot more. A week ago AAA Airconditioning Service from Tampa, highly recommended by 'Angie's List' had done a '23-point-inspection'.  They suggested a R-22 leak detection because "You have a leaking system" AAA mechanic Rudolph told us. "Sorry about your leak" he said when he handed me his report and took of. After he left my husband noticed that Rudolph had forgotten to put the cap on the Schrader valve of our compressor. Since we had our doubts about the whole AAA inspection we looked for a reliable Air conditioning Company and called 'Hot 2 Cold'. They were nice and courteous and  sent out 'John' the same day,  who checked everything and told us our system was working great.  Nothing wrong!  Pressure is okay. No leaks.........."Have a nice day" he said when he left. Boy, they are honest - maybe one of the few in the Tampa Bay area- and I will definitely call them again!

 Verified After a bad experience with another AC company I went to YELP to find a company with good reviews. (Should have done this in the first place). People seemed to really like Hot2Cold and now I know why. I called Hot2Cold in the morning and they were able to give me an evening appointment that same day. James arrived on time, was professional, nice and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it in less than an hour. The fee was reasonable too! We can be demanding, critical, and cheap. We typically "think" we know more than the technician and supervise them closely to be sure they do everything right, and that we get what we are paying for.I am not different. When ****** and *** arrived at my house, I integrated them to determine their knowledge and how they would manage themselves. (Borderline harassment.) It is without reservation that I highly recommended Hot 2 Cold as a Mechanical Contractor. Their technicians are well-versed, courteous, professional, and skilled. ****** and *** took their time servicing my two AC Units and I was pleasantly surprised they did not just open, spray, test, and leave. They opened both the interior air handler unit and outside compartments for inspections. They thoroughly disinfected the inside AHU coils, flushed the drain lines, and tested. They thoroughly cleaned the coils, tested, replaced a capacitor, and charged the system. The time that Hot 2 Cold took to service one of my systems is twice the time that other Contractors take to service both my systems. They were not slow or joking around. Quite the contrary they gave me my moneys worth, and the entire time I was harassing them (partly because I was bored, but mostly testing them to see how well they were trained) they worked as they spoke to me in a kind, compassionate, and in a deescalating manner. I was proud of them.I enjoyed harassing ****** and ***. I wish all my service technicians worked as hard and represented my company, as well as these two young technicians represented Hot 2 Cold.
