Customer had to sell today because her system was not keeping up with what was being called for cooling. Upon investigation, Troy found that the sub cooling was a little low. After conferring with Rodney who just replaced the coil in February the determination was confirmed that it was a cool day when he charged the system and he went based off of the recommended poundage and was successful in obtaining a proper cooling temperature. Troy balance the system with around a half a pound to a pound of Freon and the split temperature reflected in appropriate split for a 4 ton straight goal. Did not charge the customer as this was a callback for a previous service.

Investigation Troy found that there was a leak in her coil and at the age of her unit which was installed in 2007 replacing any coils on either the compressor or the evaporator coil is extremely in advisable. Told the customer the best thing to do would be to replace the system fully. Customer agreed to the price will be using synchrony to fund the project.

This is a call back for previous service. Customers were complaining that they were not getting enough cooling out of the vents and that they were getting ice ups. Upon investigation, Troy found that the condenser was charged appropriately and that the restriction was happening in the return. Troy noticed that when the panels were off of the air handler that there was a lot more airflow coming through the vents. Upon further investigation, Troy found that there was another filter that was hiding inside of the return from 2018 that was restricting all of the airflow significantly because it was very very blocked. After removing the secondary filter that wasn’t supposed to be there, there was sufficient airflow and there will no longer be any ice ups.

Customer called us out because the compressor kept throwing the breaker. Upon investigation Troy own Found that it was imbalance and not seized. The capacitor was to blame for tripping the breaker. After replacing the capacitor, the machine turned on. At that point, Troy put on his gauges to observe 11° of sub cooling however there was only a 11 to 12° split from return to supply vent. Customer aware of what repairs were made and will continue to have discuss discussions about system replacement once she returns home from her trip.

I detached the drain pipe and re-glued it because it wasn’t holding the water And I elevated the elbow that was sagging to create an appropriate pitch using a wooden wench to support the pipe upwards.

Gauges were all over the place so we turned the system into heat mode to melt all the ice off to get more accurate reading. Once the ice was melted, the gauge is reflected that there was enough Freon in the system. The reason for the ice was because of a blocked coil. Recommended doing a pull and clean also read the amps on the motor to be sufficient for how much it should be pulling. Further proving the need for the pool and clean.

Condenser is 15 feet in the air hung on brackets Which were attached to a faulty piece of metal. Very emergent situation to get someone out there to hopefully save the condenser from falling 15 feet to the ground. Another appointment will be needed to also assess what’s actually wrong with the unit if it hasn’t fallen into the ground and been destroyed already.

Customer called us out because her system was not keeping up with her set temperature. Upon investigation, Troy found that the entire system was iced over cross reference with the previous diagnosis from Rodney. It looks as if her coil has finally busted. At the age of the system it is too old to replace a coil with a good outcome so we recommended full system replacement. Customer agreed is trying to figure out financing and or how to pay out-of-pocket is going to be Getting in contact with us today.
