Hot2Cold is an awesome company. The person they sent to check on our system named James was supposed to give us an estimate for our AC duct cleaning which I thought we needed because some rooms were much hotter than others. James checked our entire system and found that it settings the installation company left for our units are not proper for our house. He put proper settings and adjusted all of the vents in the house which made it feel much better. On top of that he didn’t charge us anything! I haven’t seen this level of honesty and professionalism in a long time. Recommend this company to anyone who needs their AC serviced.

Today we visited to determine why the upstairs ac unit was not working. We learned the unit had a failed hermetic capacitor. James replaced the capacitor and the system is now working properly. In addition to repairing the outside unit James adjusted the airflow profile in the air handler to help with air noise upstairs.

Today we visited to perform the annual maintenance on the HVAC equipment. Performance wise, the unit are working well, but the air quality in the home needs to be addressed. The home has high humidity and the a/c units have developed an issue with mold. We discussed a few different ways to address the air quality ranging from “spot treatment” up to a complete makeover for the indoor air.

Today we visited to perform the annual maintenance on the air conditioning system. This machine is blowing cool air and keeping the home comfortable. The unit is from 2005 and uses a refrigerant that is phased out. The outside coils are corroding and flaking which causes the system to use more electricity. The inside unit is also corroded, but more severely. The coils inside are impacted with mold/bacteria/dust and so is the blower. These dirty components contribute to poor air quality inside the home. Since this machine is past its expected life, and in poor condition, it is wise to prepare to replace the equipment.
