Signs that indicate the need for a new AC installation can include:

  1.    Age of the System: Air conditioners typically have a service life of around 8 to 12 years with proper maintenance. If your AC is nearing 20 years, it has exceeded its normal service life and may fail anytime. As systems age, the coils may corrode, leading to refrigerant leaks, and internal components may wear out, requiring replacement to keep the system running efficiently.
  2.    Frequent Repairs: Track how often you need to call for AC repairs. In the last two years of service, most systems tend to require more frequent repairs. Consider adding up the total cost of repairs over the past two seasons and multiplying it by the age of your system. If the cost of those repairs exceeds the cost of a new system, it might be time for a replacement.
  3.    Declining Indoor Air Quality: Aging systems that need replacement can contribute to poor indoor air quality. They may recirculate dust and dirt that has accumulated in the system, and they might be less effective at removing humidity from the air. If you find yourself having to replace air filters more frequently than before, it is advisable to have your system evaluated for a possible replacement.
  4.    Use of R22 Refrigerant: If your AC unit was manufactured before 2010, it may use R22 refrigerant. However, the US government banned the manufacturing of R22 as of 2020, making it increasingly expensive to maintain or repair systems using this refrigerant. If this applies to your unit, it is a clear indication that it is living on borrowed time and it would be wise to consider scheduling a consultation with an expert installation technician for a new AC installation.

  2. Non-functional outside unit: If the outdoor unit of your AC system is not working, it could indicate a problem with the compressor or other components, which our technicians can identify and fix.
  3. Issue with airflow or frozen coil: Insufficient airflow or a frozen evaporator coil can lead to poor cooling performance. Our experts can diagnose the cause, whether it’s a dirty coil or ducts, and provide the necessary repair.
  4. AC doesn’t cool enough: If your AC system is struggling to cool your space adequately, it may require repair or maintenance. Our team can identify the underlying cause and restore optimal cooling efficiency.
  5. Clogged drain line: A clogged drain line can lead to water leakage or reduced performance. Our technicians can clear the blockage and ensure proper drainage.
  6. Refrigerant leak repair: If your AC system is low on refrigerant, indicating a leak, our experts can locate and repair the leak, preventing further damage to your system.

Customer called us out because the air handler was not coming online or the compressor. Upon investigation, Troy found that the electric signal was being robbed by the thermostat, we recycle power disconnected a few items to rule them out such as the transformer, the surge protector, and the float switch, respectively Nothing seemed to change until Troy hardwired the green yellow and red wires wire nut at the thermostat then everything turned on which ruled out the motor being bad and the board being bad. After taking it out of being hardwired and putting the thermostat back on, everything turned on and was functioning normally.

Customer had us out because she said her drain line was slow. Upon investigation, Troy found that the condensate pump is broken and it is no longer ejecting the condensate. It’s also not sealed properly because if it was, then it would backflow into the float switch and shut the machine off instead it overflowed the garage that it’s in suggested that we replace the condensate pump and the customer agreed.

Customer called us out because they were getting a very loud noise from their condenser motor and we’re curious about it. Upon investigation, Troy found that the motors borrow bearings are starting to go and that’s what’s creating the noise. We just installed this unit so it’s very disappointing to the customer we put in for a new factory motor for the condenser And the customer signed off on that. It is covered under gap warranty as we just installed this unit about five weeks ago.

Customer had us out again because the return Plenum has moisture buildup that is on the outside of it and there’s water that drips down. Put investigation Troy found that the inside of the return Plenum is bone dry so the moisture is not coming from inside the unit, it is building up on the exterior of the Return Plenum. Upon further investigation, there were a few holes a few rips, but more significant was the type of filter that they’re using is a high grade pet dander allergen filter, which is quite thick. I told the customer to get filters that are a little less of a Merv rating And to see if that makes a difference.

Customer called the cell because there was a buzzing noise coming from his damper in his ductwork. Upon arrival, the buzzing noise had gone away because the customer had climbed up on a ladder and pushed the reset button on the damper and that stopped it from doing anything further. I tried to locate a zone control board only to find out that their house is naturally zoned because there’s one unit that controls the upstairs and one unit that controls the downstairs and they’re on separate thermostats that don’t communicate with each other. The zone dampers in and of themselves were a confusing thing to come across considering their set up. Customer Said to leave the system as it was. I told the customer that if he put maybe one of his systems into heat mode when they were respectively, both in cooling mode that perhaps the zoning board got triggered if one thermostat is calling for one temperature and the other is calling for a different one that it might have actuated The damper. St. Petersburg Climate needs an expert AC company that understands St. Pete’s history.

Over the course of the 20th century, the population of St. Petersburg experienced significant changes. In the 1970s, the city gained popularity as a retirement destination for individuals from midwestern cities in the United States. This led to a rapid increase in population, reaching a total of 238,647 residents according to the 1980 census.

However, following this period of growth, St. Petersburg faced various urban problems and the destruction of historic structures, which hampered further population expansion in the subsequent decade and a half.

Nevertheless, the city has recently witnessed a renewed interest in urban living among families and an expansion of the downtown university and related services, triggering another phase of growth in population. This indicates that St Petersburg is once again attracting new residents and experiencing an upward trend in its population numbers.

The rich history of baseball in St. Petersburg begins in the 1970s when the city embarked on a mission to bring a Major League Baseball (MLB) team to the Tampa Bay area. With ambitious plans, St. Petersburg reached out to various teams across the United States, seeking a new home for them.

In 1983, designs for a state-of-the-art ballpark were unveiled, capturing the imagination of baseball enthusiasts in the region. Construction of a permanent dome stadium commenced in 1986, and by 1990, the impressive facility known as the Florida Suncoast Dome was ready for action. This marked a significant milestone as it became the first MLB-quality stadium in the area.

The pursuit to attract a professional baseball team to the newly built stadium proved to be a challenging task. However, St. Petersburg’s relentless efforts did not go unnoticed. In 1995, their determination paid off when Major League Baseball awarded the city a franchise.

The year 1996 saw the stadium enter a new phase, as it underwent a rebranding and was renamed the Tropicana Field. This name change came about after establishing a naming rights agreement with Tropicana Dole Beverages, bringing a local connection to the venue.

With renovations complete, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, the newly established MLB team, inaugurated Tropicana Field with their first game on March 31, 1998. This moment of delight marked a historic occasion for the Tampa Bay area, as it became home to its first-ever professional baseball team.

Since then, Tropicana Field has served as the backdrop for countless thrilling baseball memories, providing a haven for fans to cheer on their beloved hometown team and enjoy the spirit of America’s pastime in St. Petersburg.
