Hot 2 Cold Return & Service Policy
Effective Immediately
Note: The first invoice for any job overrides this general policy.
1. No Refund Policy — Including Refrigerant (Freon)
Hot 2 Cold Air Conditioning does not issue refunds on:
- Completed HVAC repairs
- Diagnostic visits
- Installation work
- Refrigerant (Freon) charges or refrigerant-related service
- Warranty service labor
- Manufacturer warranty part installations
Once service is completed or refrigerant has been added to the system, the sale is
final. Refrigerant cannot be removed, returned, or refunded once installed.
2. “Make It Work Right” Guarantee
Instead of refunds, Hot 2 Cold provides a Make It Work Right Guarantee.
If an issue is directly related to the work we performed, we will return and make reasonable
adjustments to bring the system up to manufacturer specifications.
This guarantee does not cover:
- Additional parts that may be needed
- System performance issues caused by age, leaks, or wear
- New or unrelated problems that appear later
Any newly required repairs will be quoted separately.
3. Manufacturer Warranty Parts (Replacement Only, Not Refundable)
Most HVAC manufacturers provide replacement parts only and
do not issue refunds. Because of this:
- We cannot refund a part the manufacturer does not refund.
- We process the warranty claim and obtain the replacement part.
- The customer is responsible for labor charges related to installing the warranty part.
Hot 2 Cold acts as a service provider, not the warrantor.
4. Labor Charges for Warranty Service & Refrigerant (Freon)
Manufacturer warranties normally cover parts only, not labor or refrigerant.
Therefore, the customer is responsible for:
- Diagnostic fees
- Labor to remove the failed part
- Labor to install the replacement part
- Refrigerant (Freon) required for testing or system operation
- System testing, leak checking, and verification
Refrigerant usage is a billable consumable and is not covered under
manufacturer warranties.
5. First Invoice Overrides This Policy
Any special terms or agreements written on the first invoice supersede this
general return policy and become the final binding agreement between the customer and Hot 2 Cold.
6. Our Commitment
Hot 2 Cold follows all HVAC industry and manufacturer standards. Our policies ensure fairness,
clarity, and proper handling of warranty parts, refrigerant usage, and system repairs.
