Customer called us out to get a diagnostic on his unit. Unit is a 2009 carrier. Troy observed that the system pressure seems to be working fine. There is no indication for a leak in a coil and the customer’s concern more had to do with a wet spot on the ceiling that was caused by a piece of loose insulation on the back of the air handler panels

Customer called us out to see if we can repair the air conditioning machine. Upon investigation Rodney found that the unit was beyond repair. It was an old R 22 unit that was installed in 2002. Rodney turned the call over to comfort advisor, Troy to give quotes for full system replacement.

Parts Warranty covers the PART ONLY and does NOT cover the Warranty fees we are charged, trip costs to and from the supply house, freon, labor and troubleshooting once the new part is put in. Costs reflected in this estimate reflect those that are NOT covered by the Parts Warranty. The office confirmed the part is available, and work will need to be done on a day when it is not raining to ensure no additional damage occurs to the unit.

This estimate is being presented for the replacement of the Condenser Coil ONLY for a Unit under a Parts and Warranty until 2028. The coil would have to be transferred in from the factory with a minimum lead time of 7-10 days from the date of submittal to the supply house. Customer stated he has a full jug of 410A Freon which was approved for use - If Hot 2 Cold has to come out of pocket for any additional freon the price will go back up to $1750.

Customer had us out because he had leaking going on all around his house underneath the air handler. Upon investigation, Troy found that the insulation on the back panel of the coil was loose and it was wicking the condensate away from the drip tray and down into the Plenum. Troy taped the insulation back to the front panel of the cabinet to fix.

Upon we found there was no operation at the air handler but our condenser was running. Check board operation and found that the board was telling the motor to engage but there was no operation. Motor has failed.

Customer called us out because he wasn’t getting any cooling out of his system. Upon investigation, Troy found that the compressor was not coming on, but the fan was blowing. Troy then check the capacitor which he found two lizards dead on top of. After tasting the nano ferrets to make sure that the capacitor had failed Troy replaced the capacitor with a working one and was getting 57° coming out of the vents afterwards.
